Welcome to Southpark Seafood
"Southpark Seafood in Portland offers a unique dining experience with a focus on New American seafood cuisine. With a classy ambiance and attentive service, this restaurant is perfect for a date night or special celebration. Standout dishes like the fish and chips, clam chowder, and Dungeness Crab Roll impress with their freshness and flavor. The variety of seafood options, creative sides like charred Brussel sprouts, and well-crafted cocktails make for a memorable dining experience. Despite some minor hiccups with split checks and service speed, Southpark Seafood continues to delight guests with its delicious food and welcoming atmosphere."

Nice ambiance for date night, clean and friendly staff. Excellent bread! Loved it so much I asked for a second serving of their bread. The salmon was ok. The clams was better. The clam chowder was just ok, nothing special. The kimchi oyster shooter was recommended by the waitress but I didn't like it.

Southpark Seafood exceeded my expectations on almost every level. The interior has an elevated feel and it's pretty cool to see all the fresh oysters on ice when you first walk in. Our server was friendly and very attentive. The fish and chips were delicious. The batter was seasoned and the coleslaw was completely different than any I've ever had. The portion was also pretty big. The only thing I didn't like was that they charge an automatic 20% gratuity and an additional percentage to use a debit or credit card. Personally I don't think gratuity should be forced and credit card fees are a part of doing business and shouldn't be passed on to the customer.

We came here to celebrate my and my friend's 40th birthdays! It was a nice surprise to be sat down with a welcoming birthday card from the restaurant. The food and service was excellent. The chowder is out of this world and the bread is amazing as well. We had the sturgeon, swordfish, shrimp and grits, and the crab sandwich. We also ordered the brussel sprouts and the Caesar. Everything was very good! I highly recommend this place for a nice seafood meal.

Returned here for Happy Hour after going to the Portland Art Museum. 15% off entire menu (including bottles of wine, full entrees, etc.) - 3-5pm. We had a fish (salmon collar) and cheese (a nice mild creamy from Suisse) board, jumbo shrink cocktail, oysters. Bottle of red blend from Walla Walla. Total bill about $120 - a bargain!

Back in the PNW, we made a point to return to Southpark Seafood in downtown Portland. After visiting back in 2022 and having one of the most incredible meals, we came back for round two. It did not disappoint. We arrived without a reservation early-ish on a Friday night and were seated quickly. It was busy with only a few tables free, yet there was no issue with availability. The service, food, and ambiance continue to be outstanding, even two years later. However, on this visit, we skipped cocktails and went straight for the food. After the simple yet delicious complimentary bread course served with a tasty salted butter, we got both the Dungeness Crab Roll and the large portion of the mixed greens salad to start. For mains, we got the grilled swordfish and halibut, and finished off the meal with the taramisu gelato. While our favorite dessert, the German Chocolate Cake, is not currently on the menu - everything we tried was flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The portion size on the taramisu gelato was a bit on the smaller side, but the taste of taramisu was fully present and balanced with the espresso and small cookies. Always a local favorite for us, we'll continue to make Southpark Seafood a priority when visiting the PDX.

The Dungeness Crab Roll was fresh and refreshing. I'm normally not into fries, but the waiter recommended them and they were great. The waiter was rude when we asked to split the check and said something about how we didn't ask at the beginning. There was also gratuity and a charge for using a credit card. The place was on a corner so it was bright in there.

The food was amazing and delicious! Service was slow but excellent very attentive and courteous super friendly. Presentation was beautiful too! Definitely would return! Came with a huge party and they served us with excellent service! The Poke salad was to die for and the Spicy Shrimp and Grits was amazing!

Clam Chowder: Creamy and rich, generous with clams, bacon, and gnocchi instead of potatoes. Delicious. Brussel Sprouts: delightfully charred with a hint of heat from the gochujang, brightness from the cilantro, and nuttiness from the peanuts. The seafood tower was fresh, the shrimp were indeed jumbo and sweet.

This place never disappoints. I was in Portland for a family function and couldn't resist having a meal here service was impeccable and the dishes were inspired. They only thing was they didn't have the beet salad anymore.
